New York: The Met Gala 2023, regarded as New York’s luxury festival, has started. Following this, a large number of famous people from around the world are taking part in the event while dressing differently.

Karl Lagerfeld, a fashion legend, passed away in 2019. This year’s celebrities dressed in pearl-studded dresses and black and white gowns to honour Karl Lagerfeld. And to everyone’s surprise, Jared Leto and Doja Kate appeared as “Choupette,” Karl Lagerfeld’s cat.

At the celebration, Karl Lagerfeld’s cat was also honoured. Indian celebrities Priyanka Chopra and Alia Bhatt also attended the occasion.

History of the Met Gala: In 1948, the first Met Gala fashion show took place. Anna Wintour planned the event in Manhattan, New York City, to raise money for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute. The Metropolitan Museum of Art will receive donations from the exhibition’s sales.

Every year, celebrities from the worlds of film, politics, and social media, as well as athletes, journalists, and many more, take part in this celebration.

Fashion icons are acknowledged at this event, which is held every May. The expense of attending the event as a spectator runs into the thousands.
