Following Queen Elizabeth II of England, Prince Charles was named as the successor to the throne and leader of the Commonwealth in 2018. Within 24 hours of the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles was solemnly crowned King Charles III at St. James’s Palace in London by the Council of Accessions. He has now assumed the title of King of Britain.

King Charles’s life’s journey: Despite spending his whole youth in a palace, Charles did not go to school the conventional way. He studied and attended school. He attended Cambridge University’s Trinity College, where he earned a history degree in 1970. Charles made history by becoming the first monarch to attend college and get a degree.

After this, he joined the Royal Air Force of England and served as a pilot for seven years. He then served as a helicopter pilot in the Navy. He retired in 1976 as the commander of the minesweeper HMS Brannington of the British Navy.

Charles expressed his love for Diana when he met her in 1981. Diana accepted this, and they got married in 1981. The first child, Prince William, was born in 1982. A second son, Prince Harry, was born in 1984. A few years later, the relationship between Charles and Diana was strained. Charles’ ex-girlfriend, Camilla, was blamed for the split.
