Charles III is proclaimed king of Britain in London. The 70-year reigning monarch of Britain, Queen Elizabeth II, passed away on September 8 of last year in Scotland at the age of 96. Her eldest son, Charles, was anointed king after his passing.
In this regard, a ceremony at Westminster Abbey in London yesterday saw Charles sworn in as the King of Britain. He promised to protect the Church of England and the King’s Act. The coronation of King Charles III, who was seated in a golden gown, came after that. Also provided was a sceptre.
An old person was purportedly crowned king or queen for the first time in British history. Queen Camilla, Prince William, and Princess (of Wales) Kate all attended the occasion. Harry, the King’s youngest son, was also present. His wife, Meghan Markle, opted not to go to the occasion. At the event, more than ten songs were sung. Also performed for the first time was a Welsh song. More than 2,000 international visitors and celebrities attended the event.
Following Queen Elizabeth II of England, Prince Charles was named as the successor to the throne and leader of the Commonwealth in 2018. Within 24 hours of the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles was solemnly crowned King Charles III at St. James’s Palace in London by the Council of Accessions. He has now assumed the title of King of Britain.
King Charles’s life’s journey: Despite spending his whole youth in a palace, Charles did not go to school the conventional way. He studied and attended school. He attended Cambridge University’s Trinity College, where he earned a history degree in 1970. Charles made history by becoming the first monarch to attend college and get a degree.
After this, he joined the Royal Air Force of England and served as a pilot for seven years. He then served as a helicopter pilot in the Navy. He retired in 1976 as the commander of the minesweeper HMS Brannington of the British Navy.
Charles expressed his love for Diana when he met her in 1981. Diana accepted this, and they got married in 1981. The first child, Prince William, was born in 1982. A second son, Prince Harry, was born in 1984. A few years later, the relationship between Charles and Diana was strained. Charles’ ex-girlfriend, Camilla, was blamed for the split.
After that, he enlisted in the Royal Air Force of England, where he spent seven years as a pilot. After that, he flew a chopper for the Navy. He left his position as captain of the British Navy’s minesweeper HMS Brannington in 1976.
The two separated in 1992 and got divorced in 1996. The following year, Diana died in a car accident in Paris, France. It is worth recalling that Prince Charles married his ex-girlfriend Camilla for the second time in 2005.
It is said that Diana was killed by Charles’ family after their divorce. An assassination was blamed on Diana’s murder.
